Course ContentAn introduction to the politics in Africa, special emphasis on South Africa; Africa as a new emerging market for many world powers; the continental and regional institutions (the African Union, Southern African Development Community, etc); the main tendencies such as regional integration, democratisation, economic development and conflict resolution; South African politics, including the consolidation of democracy, the dynamics of its domestic politics and its international relations.
