Course Objective

The objectives of this course are to enable the students to understand the basic macroeconomics concepts. More specifically, the national income determination, monetary and fiscal policies and international trade theories are discussed at introductory level.

Course Content

Firms and fiscal policy; interdependence of the economy; national income; theory of income determination; money and banking; monetary policy; international trade and finance.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, students will be able to define and analyse a macroeconomic problem.It is expected that a student can explain the causes of a specific situation and identify alternative solutions.
