Course Objective

The objectives of this course are to enable the students to get acquaintance with the basic microeconomics concepts. More specifically, the economic problem, demand and supply analysis, the consumer and firm theory, different market structures and distribiution theory are discussed at introductory level.

Course Content

The economic problem; theories of supply and demand; various market structures; theory of distribution.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, students will be able to define and analyse a microeconomic problem.It is expected that a student can explain the causes of a specific situation and identify alternative solutions.
